Send the drawings and we'll return a written, itemized estimate. No obligation. If you don't have plans yet, we'll talk through the house and give you a real number.
Rough-in walk-through
We walk every room with you before we pull wire and show you exactly what's planned. Want to add or move something? This is the time.
Rough-in & inspection
Boxes, wire, service, and panel while the walls are open. We coordinate the rough-in inspection with your other trades.
Trim, test & final
Devices, fixtures, panel labeling, and a full test. We meet the inspector for final and walk you through the house.
An itemized bid, and sign-off before anything changes.
We give every new construction job a written, itemized estimate before any work begins. No surprises, no markup tricks, no "we found something else we need to charge for." If the scope changes mid-project, we tell you up front and get sign-off before the change order goes through. Our journeymen work alongside our apprentices on every job, so you get experienced supervision and a fair price.

Do you bid from plans?
Yes. Send drawings and specs and we'll return an itemized written estimate. For owner-builders without full plans, we'll talk through the house and give you a number you can build a budget on.
200 amp or 400 amp?
200A is standard and handles most homes. Go to 400A if you're planning a shop, a large all-electric house, an EV or two, or a hot tub plus heat pump. We'll do the load calculation with you at bid time; it's much cheaper to size it right the first time.
When do you need to be on site?
Rough-in happens after framing, roofing, and windows are in and before insulation and drywall, usually alongside plumbing and HVAC rough. Trim-out is after paint, when cabinets are in. We'll give your GC a schedule up front.
Are you licensed on both sides of the river?
Yes. RD Electric is licensed and insured in Idaho and Washington, and we pull permits and pass inspections in both states.
Can you wire the shop or detached garage too?
Yes. A subpanel fed from the main service, sized for whatever you'll run out there, is a routine part of a new build in the valley. Trenching and conduit are included in the bid.
How long does the electrical take on a new home?
Rough-in on a typical single-family home is a few days; trim-out is usually one to two. Larger customs and homes with lighting control or structured wiring take longer, and we schedule it with your GC.
