Residential Services Electrical Remodels & Renovations

Whether you're updating a 1970s kitchen, opening up a wall, finishing a basement, or doing a full down-to-the-studs renovation, the electrical work is what makes it all come together. New lighting that actually shows off your finishes. Outlets where you actually need them. A panel that can handle the addition you've been planning. We've been doing this kind of work in the LC Valley for over 25 years — and we've seen just about everything older homes can throw at us.

Working with what you've got

Remodel work is different from new construction. The walls are already up, the wiring is already there, and what you find inside isn't always what the previous owner thought you'd find. Knob-and-tube. Aluminum branch circuits. Splices buried behind drywall. Two-prong outlets in a kitchen with a modern fridge. We've been pulling old wiring out of LC Valley homes for over two decades, and we know how to update an older home safely without tearing the whole place apart.

We work alongside your contractor, cabinet installer, or designer — or directly with you if you're managing the project yourself. We pull the permits, schedule the inspections, and keep everything moving so the electrical phase doesn't slow down your remodel.

Common remodel services

Every remodel is different, but here's what we do most often:

  • Kitchen rewires — under-cabinet lighting, can lights, pendant prep, dedicated appliance circuits, GFCI for countertops, dishwasher and disposal circuits
  • Bathroom remodels — vanity lighting, exhaust fans, heated floor wiring, GFCI protection, modern code-compliant outlets
  • Recessed lighting and dimmer installation throughout the home
  • Panel upgrades from 100A to 200A or 400A to handle modern loads
  • Subpanel installation for additions, garages, shops, and ADUs
  • Whole-home rewires for older houses with outdated or unsafe wiring
  • Replacing knob-and-tube, aluminum, or two-wire systems with modern grounded circuits
  • Adding circuits for hot tubs, EV chargers, or 240V appliances
  • Smart switch and home automation upgrades
  • Outdoor lighting, deck wiring, and exterior receptacle additions
  • Whole-house surge protection added at the panel

We tell you what we find

The hardest part of remodel electrical work is what you don't see until the walls are open. Our approach is simple: when we find something — a buried junction box, an undersized circuit, a previous owner's DIY work — we tell you about it before we touch it. You'll know what it is, why it matters, and what it costs to fix. No surprise charges, no scope creep without your sign-off.

Honest pricing on every job

We give every remodel job a written estimate before we start. Most jobs we can quote on the spot after a walk-through. For larger projects, we'll come out, look at the scope with your contractor or designer, and put together a detailed bid with itemized pricing. If you need a few options at different price points, we can usually do that too — sometimes there's a way to get most of what you want without the premium fixtures, and we'll tell you straight.

Helping you plan

A lot of homeowners don't know what's possible until we walk through it together. If you're not sure whether you need a panel upgrade, whether your kitchen layout will work with the lighting you want, or whether your house can handle that hot tub you've been eyeing — give us a call. The walk-through is free and we'll give you real answers, not a sales pitch.
