Yes. Both have well-documented histories of breakers failing to trip under fault conditions, and many insurers won't write or renew a policy with one in the house. We replace them regularly and treat it as a safety job, not an optional upgrade.
Do I need 200 amps?
For most homes adding a heat pump, EV charger, hot tub, or shop, yes. For a small house with gas appliances and no plans to add load, 100 or 125 amps can still be fine. We do the load calculation on the site visit and tell you either way.
